At the beginning of the 20th century, more precisely in 1909, the first examples of the theoretical definition of the term sevdalinka were published, and it was not until the seventies that this song received its first sexigraphic arrangements. In the twenties and thirties of the 20th century, writers Hamza Humo, Ahmed Muradbegović, Jovan Kršić, and foreign researchers Gerhard Gesemann, Renea Pelletier and Ludvik Kuba also wrote about sevdalinka.
