Description
A bag with the coat of arms of the Bosnian queen Dorotea Gorjanska. Doroteja Gorjanska (1410-1438) was a prominent Hungarian noblewoman who in 1428 married the Bosnian king Tvrtko II Tvrtković, thus gaining the title of queen of medieval Bosnia.
The heraldic symbol of the Bosnian queen Dorotea Gorjanska consists of a circularly profiled composition in the central part of which there is a dragon crowned with a lily that swallows the human heart. To its left and right are the crescent moon and the star. The lily above the dragon’s head represents the symbol of the royal dynasty of the Kotromanić family, while the symbol of the heart is taken from the coat of arms of the Gorjanska family.
