Description
The song, which was named sevdalinka only at the end of the 19th century, has existed for centuries in the oral tradition of Bosniaks. Several centuries passed from the first news about the existence of this poem to its naming. Also, a lot of time could have passed from the usual practice to the news about the existence of such a tradition, so it cannot be determined with certainty how long it has existed as an oral literary creation on Bosnian soil.
